BEHIND CLASE 33
We grew up around tequila. Clase 33 began when we started questioning it again.
Agave and production were always close to us. Clase 33 began when we decided to question that familiar craft again: compare processes, trace their origins, and understand what had changed.
EL NOMBRE
33 primos.
THE NAME
33 cousins. That's where the name comes from.
We are 33 cousins in our generation of the Camarena family, the fifth generation connected to agave and tequila. The project, however, comes from what we decided to do with that closeness.
Clase 33 is built between different ways of looking at the same thing.

FAMILY · PRODUCTION · PROJECT
They know tequila from years spent close to its production. Clase 33 began when that familiarity stopped being an answer and became a reason to ask better questions.

RESEARCH · CONTEXT · NARRATIVE
They research the context behind the techniques, tools, and transformations of each era. Their work keeps history from becoming decoration: it helps decide what we do, how we do it, and what is worth telling.
Del archivo a la planta. De la planta a la mesa.
From archive to distillery. From distillery to table.
01 ARCHIVO
Buscamos pistas.
01 ARCHIVE
We look for clues.
We start by reviewing documents, techniques, and objects from each era: what tools existed, how they were used, and why they changed.
02 PLANTA
02 DISTILLERY
We turn them into decisions.
That research becomes real production decisions: which process to replicate, with what materials, and in what order.
03 MESA
03 TABLE
Then we discuss it over a glass.
Before calling anything finished, we taste it, compare it across editions, and discuss whether the result is coherent with the process we set out to replicate.
Comparamos. Nos equivocamos. Ajustamos.
We compare. We get things wrong. We adjust.
No buscamos demostrar que antes era mejor. Queremos entender qué cambió.
We are not trying to prove that the past was better. We want to understand what changed.
CONOCE LA HISTORIA →WHY WE DO IT
Let a glass leave you with a question.
No glass can teach 500 years of history. Clase 33 can only start a question — about Mexico, agave, and the people and technologies that transformed it.
If after tasting Clase 33 you want to know a little more, the bottle already did its job.
